As many as three new coronavirus cases were reported in Ludhiana on Tuesday, October 5. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma Ludhiana informed that there are 14 active patients in the district at present.
Further, he informed that 3 patients from Ludhiana and one from another district/state have tested positive on Tuesday.
Till date, a total of 25,43,088 samples have been taken, of which 24,43,857 samples were found negative. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 87,548, while 11,683 patients belong to other districts and states.
He said that the total number of persons who lost their lives including 2,103 people from Ludhiana and 1,052 from other districts.
On Tuesday, 5,966 samples of suspected patients were sent for testing on October 5 and their results are expected shortly.
