Famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead today in Mansa district, just a day after his security was withdrawn. The attack reportedly took place near Jawahake village in Mansa district.
As per the reports, Sidhu Moosewala was declared dead when he was brought to the Civil Hospital in Mansa. The reports also suggest that Sidhu Moosewala was driving his Mahindra Thar when a bullet hit him. He was reportedly leaving his village Moosa with his companions and was going to meet some known personality.
It is to be noted that Sidhu was amongst the 424 people whose security was withdrawn yesterday by the Punjab government. He was only 28. This year, he contested Assembly elections from Mansa seat on Congress’ ticket. However, he lost to AAP’s candidate Vijay Singla, who was recently arrested on the charges of corruption.
