A 24-year-old youth living in the SBS Nagar area of Ludhiana sent obscene messages to his friend’s 44-year-old mother through social media.
According to the reports, the accused morphed the victim’s images with sexually explicit photos. Later, the youth pressured her to have a physical relationship with him.
Inspector Gurpreet Singh said that the accused youth has been identified as Mandeep Singh. The police team of Sadar police station has started searching for the accused. A case has been registered against him under molestation, IT Act and other criminal sections.
As per the reports, the woman filed a complaint with the Ludhiana Commissioner of Police. She reportedly said that she received “I Love You” message from an unknown number on January 10.
On February 21, from a different mobile number, she received a morphed picture in which her face was replaced on a sexually explicit picture. The accused also texted her to have a physical relationship with him. Other than that, the accused also threatened the woman to circulate her morphe picture on the internet.
During the police investigation, it was found that the accused had two different mobile numbers. Later in the investigation, it was found that the accused was one of the friends of the victim’s son.
