Khatkar Kalan turns “Basanti” for Bhagwant Mann’s oath-taking ceremony

Aam Aadmi Party has chosen Khatkar Kalan as the venue for Bhagwant Mann’s oath-taking ceremony. It is the paternal village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

The whole village is covered in Basanti colour today for the oath-taking ceremony of Bhagwant Mann.

The party has urged the people reaching the ceremony, the party workers and leaders to wear Basanti turbans and Basanti chunris. Basanti is the theme of the venue and the décor.

It is to be noted that Bhagat Singh used to wear a Basanti turban. Inviting the people to his oath-taking ceremony, Bhagwant Mann had said, “We will colour Khatkar Kalan in “Basanti Rang”.”

Aam Aadmi Party’s Raghav Chaddha also wore a Basanti turban and even shared a picture today with Bhagwant Mann.

Mann’s children also reached Khatkar Kalan from the United States for the oath-taking ceremony of their father.

Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also be present at Bhagwant Mann’s oath-taking ceremony. Legendary singer from Punjab Gurdass Mann has already reached the venue.

In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party has won 92 assembly seats out of the total 117 seats. All the senior political leaders in Punjab from Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal lost elections this time.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Captain Amarinder Singh, Sukhbir Badal, Prakash Singh Badal, Bikram Majithia, Manpreet Badal also lost assembly elections.
