“Delhi to Amritsar in 4 hours”, Minister Nitin Gadkari gives assurance

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday assured that the distance between Delhi to Amritsar will be covered in four hours by the end of the year.

He said that the work of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra highway has begun. “By the end of the year, we will be able to reach Srinagar from Mumbai in 20 hours and the distance between Delhi and Amritsar will be covered in just 4 hours.

Other than that, Nitin Gadkari said that there won’t be toll plazas within 60 kms on national highways. Nitin Gadkari ensured that the norms will be implemented in the next three months.

He said, “I ensure that there would be only one toll plaza within 60 kilometers. If there’s a second toll plaza, then it will be shut within the next three months.
