Over a complaint filed by comedian Kapil Sharma, Mumbai police have arrested Bonito Chhabria, son of a renowned car designer, on Saturday. As per the reports, a case of cheating was registered against him.
Kapil Sharma had filed a complaint with Mumbai Police last year alleging that he was cheated of Rs. 5.3 crore by Dilip Chhabria and others. Kapil Sharma has reportedly said that he had given more than 5 crore to Chhabria between March and May 2017 to design a vanity bus. In the year 2019, Kapil approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) as there was no progress.
The reports suggest that during the investigation, Bonito’s role came to light. After investigation and questioning, he was arrested.
