The bill to repeal the three controversial farm laws has been passed in both the houses of the parliament on the first day of the Winter Session on November 29. In Lok Sabha, the bill was passed within four minutes amid the opposition demanding a discussion.

The critics have claimed that the government has evaded the discussion being demanded on the guarantee of MSP (Minimum Support Price). In Rajya Sabha also, the bill to repeal the laws was passed amid sloganeering by the opposition parties.

Congress’ leader in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge reportedly said that all the parties agreed on the bill and no one is opposed to it. He also alleged that the Centre repealed the three farm laws because of the 2022 Assembly Elections.
