Internationally famed Kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal died during a Kabaddi tournament on Monday, March 15. As per the reports, the tournament was happening in Mallian village near Nakodar.
As the match was proceeding, some people opened firing and shot Sandeep Nangal dead. The whole audience present in the stadium scattered within moments. Several videos of the deadly incident have surfaced on the internet.
In one of the videos, some people can be clearly seen opening fire on Kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal.

The police reports suggest that some personal rivalry or professional jealousy could be the reason behind the incident and Sandeep Nangal’s death. It is to be noted that Sandeep Nangal was one of the top five Kabaddi players in the world. Also, he was the head of the Major Kabaddi League Federation. He is survived by his parents, wife and two sons.
