Ludhiana, March 10
The counting process is complete in 8 Assembly constituencies of Ludhiana. AAP has confirmed its win in 7 of those eight seats.
Manpreet Singh Ayali has saved his bastion for Shiromani Akali Dal. He has won the elections from Dakha seat.
From Raikot, Hakam Singh Thekedar has won the seat for Aam Aadmi Party.
Saravjit Kaur Manuke has once again won the assembly seat of Jagraon. She has won her seat with a massive margin of 39321 votes.
From Gill constituency, Jeevan Singh Sanghowal of Aam Aadmi Party has defeated Congress’ Kuldeep Singh Vaid. He has won the elections with a difference of 57,288 votes.
Former Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been defeated by Gurpeet Bassi Gogi of the Aam Aadmi Party. Gogi has won the Ludhiana West seat. It is to be noted that Gurpreet Gogi used to be a friend of Bharat Bhushan Ashu. However, just a month before the elections, he joined Aam Aadmi Party.
From Ludhiana South, Rajinder Pal Kaur of Aam Aadmi Party has won the elections. She has defeated Lok Insaf Party’s Balwinder Singh Bains.
Jagtar Singh Dayalpura has won the Samrala seat for Aam Aadmi Party. He has defeated Shiromani Akali Dal’s Paramjit Singh Dhillon with a difference of 26,537 votes.
Former Cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh Kotli has also lost the elections in Khanna. AAP’s candidate Tarunpreet Singh Sond has won the seat with a difference of 34,758 votes. It is to be noted that Shiromani Akali Dal’s Jasdeep Kaur Yadu has received the second highest votes in Khanna.
