Major fire breaks out near Kali Sadak area Ludhiana

A major fire broke out at a factory in the Kali Sadak area in Ludhiana on Sunday, December 26.

The incident happened during the early morning hours on Sunday. The fire broke out on the second floor of the building. It had a lengthy hall because of which it became difficult for the firefighters to control the flames.

The reports suggest that they had to break the walls from five to six points. When the incident happened, around two dozen factory workers were inside the building.

However, no casualty has been reported till now. It took more than four hours for the firefighters to douse the fire.

The incident happened in a fabric factory around 5:30 am. The factory workers reportedly saw a sudden spark inside the factory and the fire spread on the stock suddenly.

The workers also tried to control the blaze with fire extinguishers, but their efforts went in vain. So, they quickly rushed out of the building.

Fire Officer reportedly informed that because of the intense heat, the ceiling and the walls were badly damaged. They had to make room for the smoke to spread. Even the water was not reaching the last point. It took immense effort for the firefighters to control the fire.
