Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Tuesday announced that the Punjab government will provide free uniforms to the left out government school boys of class I to VIII of the General category. The Punjab government will spend approximately Rs. 15.98 crore in the current financial year for the same.
It is to be noted that the School Education Department is already providing free uniforms to all the girls, SC boys and BPL boys studying in the Government schools.
