Kartarpur corridor to reopen from November 18

Senior BJP leader from Punjab, Harjeet Singh Grewal on Tuesday informed that the Kartarpu corridor will reopen on November 18. Ahead of Gurupurab on November 19, it is one of the biggest decisions in favour of the Sikh community of India.

The registrations will start on November 17. Harjit Grewal informed that the first jatha will leave for Pakistan on November 18 and the registrations for the same will start on November 17. In the year 2019, the Kartarpur corridor was inaugurated. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic, the corridor was forced to shut in last year in March.

According to the reports, the Pakistan government had also urged the Indian government to reopen the corridor last week. However, the Indian government had said that the corridor will reopen only in line with coronavirus protocols and consultations with all the involved authorities.
