Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal retaliated to Punjab CM Channi’s statement that he (Kejriwal) should be given Rs. 5,000 and buy some “suit-boot”.
During an interview with a renowned media channel, Channi was asked to comment on Arvind Kejriwal’s statement- “Punjab Congress has made a mockery (tamasha) of the state.”
To this, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi asked the anchor, “Do you have Rs. 5,000? Everyone has it. Give it to Mr. Kejriwal so that he can get some nice clothes. Can’t he get a suit-boot? His salary is Rs. 2.5 lakh.”
To this, Delhi CM and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal asked some serious questions to newly appointed Charanjit Singh Channi.

During Kejriwal’s visit to Punjab, he had said that Charanjit Singh Channi should fulfill the promises made by Captain Amarinder Singh. Congress’ leadership was unfortunate and Punjab was reduced to “tamasha”.
